Special Events/Updates
•We just want to say THANK YOU to all of you who pay your dues on time, put litter like cigarette butts in the trash can, and park in designated areas, and ATTEND MONTHLY MEETINGS!
Unfortunately, not everyone is doing their part. AND SO...
**We are towing vehicles again. If your car is illegally parked (an you know when it is) then you need to call the Garden Grove Police Department to find out where it has been towed to. If you want to request a reserved parking space, you must do so IN WRITING (form available on this web site) and strict guidelines are followed as to who will get a space. A phone call or email request will not start the process. The monthly fee to reserve a space is $35.00. Failure to pay the fee or your monthly dues will result in the loss of your reserved space.
**The children who are throwing rocks in the pool have got to be stopped. They are damaging the pool plaster and are disturbing the ducks. The reason this is mentioned is twofold. The ducks are actually a protected species and we must not allow anyone or anything to disturb them while they are nesting. If we wanted to use the pool right now we couldn’t. Violators could be heavily fined by the Federal Government/Dept. of Fish and Game so there’s another good reason to stop throwing rocks!
**No more playing soccer, football, or baseball in the common area. The balls are wrecking the planter areas, the fences, and the stucco walls. Please stop your children from ripping up the plants as well. Also your children must be kept out of the driveway and the parking areas- this is dangerous! Because of ongoing safety concerns and the destruction of common area property, we will no longer be able to allow children or adults to ride bikes, skateboards, scooters, or rollerblades in the common area as well. And no playing on the stairs!
**All trash belongs in receptacles. Cigarette butts being thrown everywhere is very inconsiderate behavior and will be fined.
**Someone was found to be using their barbeque in their garage. This is absolutely forbidden!
•Please note-We have approved keyless entry for garages, security doors, front doors, flag holders, awnings, umbrellas, water spigots, gates, and lattice board for the upper unit decks. After the first installation, we will notify you where to look and to see how it has been installed. REMEMBER-You MUST submit a structural change form before any change you make, even those that have been previously approved. We now have pictures available to view below of the above mentioned changes that have already been installed and are to be used as an example. For the awnings-They must be clean, no scalloped edges, etc. and are called Linen #4633 manufactured by Sunbrella. Please note the door style that has now been installed on units #34 and #27. This is the only door style that we are allowing. They can be purchased at Home Depot, Lowe’s and Door and Window Companies. The door must be painted to match (ivory color). Once a door has been upgraded security screens will not be allowed to be installed.

So What's New?
Excerpts from recent newsletters...
PARKING:
It’s a problem again - now that almost all the units are occupied. If you park in guest parking except to be towed and fine $150.00. Do not park in reserved parking unless it is your space. AND everyone needs to be parking 2 cars in their garages! We can’t help it if you have filled your garage with other stuff – parking is at a premium at Spring Gardens and everyone must help solve the problem!
CHILDREN AT PLAY:
Children may not play in the driveways, the parking areas or block access to the common area walkways. Balls are not to be used in the common areas and any damage to the landscaping will be billed to the owner. There is no riding of bikes, scooters, skateboards or skates in the common area. Parents you must supervise your children at all times to make sure they are following the rules – you are responsible if they play in unapproved areas or damage property like garage doors and fences. Unfortunately, this complex was not built with children in mind but we are not singling out just children. All adults must obey these same rules. Everyone who lives here has a right to peace and quiet and being able to move through the complex without dodging objects.
Dogs…things seems to be much better so thank you to all those who are keeping your dogs leashed and picking up after them. It would be really helpful if you did not let your female dogs urinate on the grass areas as it burns the grass and leaves yellow spots.
WALK GATE:
The front gate is broken again but we are not going to fix it at this time. We have many more pressing repairs and frankly, this will just be broken again in a matter of months.
SOLAR LIGHTS:
We have placed more solar lights in the complex and they look great and are providing additional illumination at night.
LANDSCAPING:
The landscape is starting to show signs of age so we will be working with the gardeners on a renovation plan. In the next few months things should be looking good again. If you any questions, suggestions or concerns please contact the board.
A few reminders:
Ø If you want an issue addressed by the board you must submit a Homeowner's Communication form in advance. You can get this form from Kori Gilliam or here on our website. Ø Everyone should have a contact list with emergency contact info on file. Ø Homeowner's insurance policies are now mandatory. We will be requesting a copy of your policy for our records. If you fail to provide a homeowner’s policy to management we will be sending you a final warning letter before we begin to impose fines. Thank you to all the owners who have complied – we appreciate you!! $25.00 a month until management receives a copy of your policy.
A few things to remember: Ø Keep in mind the fact that the “my home, my castle” attitude does not work in common interest developments. (The word “common” is key here). Please be considerate of your neighbors! We are getting more and more complaints about washing/drying late in the evening when people are trying to sleep, televisions too loud, loud arguments, etc. Ø Read the Association’s budget – each and every time you are sent one. Ø Attend meetings – this is not just a right but an obligation to the community.
